Reader's note

When David Stanley Steele walked out to bat for England against Australia at Lord's on 31st July 1975, he was unknown by the vast majority of the British public. By the time he was out, with 50 runs to his credit, he had caught the public imagination in a remarkable way. In his book, which is full of character and humour, you will share his enjoyment of cricket, his relish for runs and pleasure at taking wickets. His approach is down-to-earth and he plays every match to win - just as he was taught from the start. This vintage book is an excellent read for any fan of Cricket!
