Reader's note

This is a wonderful copy of Charles Dickens’ The Holly-Tree Inn. Charley is heartbroken and depressed after his fiancé, Angela, goes off to marry his best friend Edwin. On a Christmas Eve journey, he finds himself snowed in at the Holly-Tree Inn. While he waits for the snowstorm to subside so that the coach can continue its journey, Charley’s mind begins to wander. In an attempt to keep Angela and Edwin from his mind, he instead recalls different stories and memories of different inns. Just one of the many antique, rare and obscure books available on our online vintage bookstore.
