Reader's note

This is a wonderful copy of Agatha Christie’s Peril at End House. Hercule Poirot and Arthur Hastings are vacationing at a Cornish resort when they meet the unusual Magdala “Nick” Buckley. Nick is the mistress of the imposing End House, her home on the nearby cliffs. Recently she has been involved in several life-threatening accidents, all of which she has only barely escaped. Poirot suspects that these accidents are actually attempts on her life, a suspicion confirmed when he finds a bullet which narrowly misses her head. He resolves to protect Nick and unravel the mystery before the killer succeeds in killing her.
